Epic Cycles is a three-shop operation built by riders, for riders. Meet the owner, get in touch, and find out what we're about.
I love this shop, they always treat me well.
I have had various service jobs (wheel building, headset replacement, tubeless tire inserts) and it's always fast and reasonably priced.
The guys working there are friendly and helpful. Rock solid bike shop, highly recommended.

MEET THE OWNER
Epic Cycle’s Mike Roberts
Mike has been in the bike business for 27 years. He started as a shop mechanic in Spartanburg, raced mountain bikes across the Southeast, and spent years in national sales and marketing for a major component brand before landing back in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
He took ownership of Epic Cycles in 2021 after working there as a mechanic during the pandemic. Under his leadership, the shop has grown from one location in Black Mountain to three across Western North Carolina, adding West Asheville and Hendersonville to serve more riders across the region. Epic’s service is it’s backbone, and the Epic Cycles was recognized by Mountain Xpress as Best in WNC.
Mike is a fixture in the local cycling community, a longtime advocate for youth bike programs, and the person you're most likely to find behind the counter asking where you're planning to ride this weekend.
More Than a Bike Shop
A bike shop is a community hub, a resource, and a gathering place.
Epic Cycles takes that seriously, supporting cycling teams like Pisgah Rage, Hendersonville Hellbenders, and Dirt Skirts through sponsorships and educational programming.
